Basic Manners : 6 Sessions Group Class

Module 1: Focus & Basic Commands:
Sit, Down, Stay, wait, Touch, & Leave

We will also covers being your dog being handled by different people nose to tail, which your vet and groomer will appreciate!

Module 2: Impulse Control:
Wait, Stay, Leave, Give, take it, and “Get” This is game with commands.

Module 3: House & Car Manners:
Leave it, Place (go lay down), doors (waiting at the doors, gates, steps to prevent dashing), Greetings either at the doors or after company has come inside and mental enrichment ideas.

Module 4: Loose Leash walking:
In this module, you will learn how to walk your dog without him pulling you down the street, crises- crossing in front of you, getting over excited when he sees people, dogs, etc.…

Module 5: Recalls:
The recalls module is everything about the recall, we start simple and for the more advanced dogs we challenge while still maintaining the proper environment for learning. We build the distractions per the dog, if your dog has gotten so good at their recall, we may squeak a toy as they are running, but this does not come if the dog is not ready, we MUST always build a positive recall not constantly test to see if it is strong.

Module 6: Public Manners:
We will address things that happen out and about, you could be out for a simple walk in the park and someone wants to say high to your dog. I will show you how to use your basics (sit, down, stay, touch) and play to keep your dog calm, focused and under control.

As always, I approach training with only positive methods and force-free training methods are used. This ensures the safety and well-being of your dog is always considered. You and your dog will be set up to succeed.
