Perfect Puppy. 4 Group Class session

Puppies from 8 weeks - under 5 months

Raising and training a pup to be people and dog -friendly is the one of the most important goal of owning a pet dog. Perfect Puppy is a perfect introductory training course for young puppy/ dogs or a continuation of training for those dogs who attended puppy pre-school elsewhere but want to learn a little more!
Because our class sizes are small, each dog can advance at their own rate, I ensure you will be challenged each week.

In these classes expect to cover:

  • How to get your dog to pay attention to you
  • Redirecting annoying behaviour & reinforcement techniques
  • Sit & Sit stay
  • Down & Down stay
  • Off- four paws on the ground
  • (Recall) “Come” and follow “Let’s Go”
  • Polite greetings (with dogs & people)
  • Beginning to be walking on a loose lead
  • Tricks- every dog needs to show off now and again!
  • Basic dog body language, what is my dog trying to say?

My belief is that your dog must have a thorough understanding of the basic commands before they progress to more challenging training.

As always, I approach our training with only positive methods and force-free training is to be used. This ensures the safety and well-being of your dog is always considered. You and your dog will be set up to succeed and we will tailor training to your dog’s needs.
